Privacy Policy for Snippy
Last Updated: July 27, 2025
This Privacy Policy explains how Snippy Code Enhancer ("we," "us," or "our") handles your information when you use our Chrome extension (the "Service"). Your privacy and data security are our top priorities.
Information We Do NOT Collect or Store
- Your Code and Formulas: Snippy does NOT save, store, transmit, or log any of the code or formulas you write on our servers. Your work is processed locally in your browser and sent directly back to your Quickbase page or, with your explicit permission, to your chosen cloud storage account.
- Your Quickbase Data: Snippy does not read, access, or store any of the data within your Quickbase applications or tables.
- Your Personal Files: Snippy cannot access any files outside of the specific folders it creates for revision storage.
Revision Storage Options
Snippy offers multiple ways to store revision history of your work. All storage is optional and controlled entirely by you:
1. Local Browser Storage (Default)
- What it stores: Up to 20 recent revisions per formula field or code page
- Where it's stored: In your browser's local storage on your device
- Privacy: Never leaves your device, completely private
- Limitations: Lost if you clear browser data or switch devices
2. Google Drive Integration (Optional)
- Permission Requested:
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.file
- What this allows: Snippy can create a folder named "Snippy for Quickbase" in your Google Drive and create/read/update files only within that folder and its subfolders
- What this does NOT allow: Snippy cannot see or access anything else in your Google Drive
- Your control: You can revoke access at any time through your Google Account settings
3. Microsoft OneDrive Integration (Optional)
- Permission Requested:
Files.ReadWrite
scope for OneDrive - What this allows: Snippy can create a folder named "Snippy for Quickbase" in your OneDrive and create/read/update files only within that folder and its subfolders
- What this does NOT allow: Snippy cannot see or access anything else in your OneDrive
- Your control: You can revoke access at any time through your Microsoft Account settings

- How we use it: Approved comments may be shown to free users with optional attribution
- Your control: You choose whether your name is shown with approved comments
Data Security
All communication between Snippy and our servers is encrypted using TLS (HTTPS). We treat your data with the same care we'd want for our own. However, we're a small operation, not a Fortune 500 company with a dedicated security team, so please don't store nuclear launch codes in your Quickbase formulas.
Third-Party Services
Snippy integrates with cloud storage services at your request:
- Google Drive: Subject to Google's Privacy Policy
- Microsoft OneDrive: Subject to Microsoft's Privacy Statement
We don't control these services and aren't responsible for their privacy practices.
Your Rights and Controls
- Storage choice: You can change or disable revision storage at any time
- Data deletion: Contact us to delete your donor verification data
- Cloud access: Revoke cloud storage permissions through your Google/Microsoft account settings
- Local data: Clear local storage through your browser settings
Changes to This Privacy Policy
If we update this policy, we'll post the changes here and update the "Last Updated" date. Continued use of Snippy after changes means you accept the updated policy. We'll try not to make changes just for fun.
